Yorkshire Terrriers were originally bred to root out and kill rodents on farms and ranches.  Although our little dogs are raised as pampered house pets, they are always hoping a mouse will sneak in and need to be dispatched.  They make excellent companion animals for Great Pyrenees, giving the larger dogs purpose in protecting and nurturing their little buddy.

We're Expecting!
We do not breed for blue puppies, and were surprised when Pepper and Hank produced these three.  Blue born puppies are unusual and beautiful, but they are at increased risk of Color Dilute Alopecia.  "It's important to note that not all dogs with dilute coat colors will develop CDA, and the severity of the condition can vary in dogs that do develop the condition."  See full article at link below before deciding that a blue coated Yorkie is the dog for you.
